THE COLOR YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT DAMAGE TO THE HAIR FIBER

Our indigo is obtained from the crushed leaves of the Indigofera tinctoria which grows in eastern India. Like henna, our indigo is a product of natural origin that will not damage your hair. If indigo joins forces with henna, you can achieve a whole range of shades from soft brown to raven black. You can get intense black by dyeing your hair with henna in the first step and indigo in the second step. Indigo alone will help the hair achieve a dark blue shade.

HENNA IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE.

CAUTIONS

! Before using henna and other natural dyes, it is not recommended to use shampoos and conditioners with silicones, which prevent natural pigments from penetrating the hair structure. The hair should be clean and free of residues of fixatives and sprays. We also recommend never exceeding the maximum water temperature, because the dye will deteriorate.

! Before dyeing, we recommend doing a skin test to see if there is a possible reaction of indigo to the skin.

! Store in a dry and dark place.

For your easier orientation, we also list the English equivalent after the composition in the INCI language.

THE COLOR WITH INDIGO CONTENT CAUGHT ME IN GREEN. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If henna containing indigo is applied to very light hair (blonde or gray), it may happen that the resulting color will have green reflections. The color should adjust and stabilize at the desired shade within 24 hours, but to avoid this unwanted effect, we recommend applying natural colors containing indigo to light hair in two phases. This means, first use pure henna (copper) and then the desired final color (e.g. Henna&Indigo, Henna&3xIndigo or Indigo).

THE COLOR WAS NOT AT ALL OR VERY POOR. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If a natural color is applied to very light hair (blonde or gray), it may not hold sufficiently in some cases. For ideal coloring on fair hair, we recommend leaving pure henna (copper) to stand for at least one hour before application. On the other hand, natural color containing indigo must be applied immediately after mixing with water. In addition, when applying color with an indigo content, we recommend dyeing in two phases in the case of light hair, first with pure henna (copper) and then with the desired color. This way the color covers better.

HOW LONG DOES HAIR COLOR LAST?

Henna is a permanent color that does not wash off. Indigo is a semi-permanent color and washes out gently. It depends on a number of factors, e.g. how often the hair is washed, exposed to the sun, but also from the structure and condition of the hair.

HOW OFTEN CAN IT BE USED?

Since it is a 100% natural product, you can use it as often as you want.
However, you should be aware that with repeated use on the entire length of the hair, the color will layer and thus create darker shades. If you do not want your hair color to darken, we recommend applying it only to the regrowth.

CAN HENNA BE USED IN COMBINATION WITH CHEMICAL HAIR DYES?

Yes and no. Pure henna (copper) can be combined with chemical colors without any worries, including applying it to chemically colored hair as well as applying chemical colors to henna-dyed hair.
Be careful, however, if the henna mixture contains indigo (i.e. All our other hair dyes except copper), we do not recommend using light chemical dyes, peroxide or other lighteners on naturally colored hair. The result could be green hair.

In addition to this warning, we recommend keeping a 2-week gap between chemical dyeing and natural dyeing. On the other hand, we have personal experience with the use of peroxide and the immediate use of pure henna without any unwanted effect.

SHOULD HAIR BE WASHED BEFORE COLORING? AND SHOULD THEY BE DRY, TOWLED OR WET BEFORE APPLICATION?

Hair does not have to be freshly washed, but it should not be greasy. The color can be applied to dry or towel-dried hair. If your hair is not greasy, you can apply it immediately.

✿ WILL THIS PRODUCT COLOR THE SKIN ON MY HANDS OR HEAD AROUND MY HAIR?

Henna color can stain your skin for about a day, but then the color washes off. You can prevent these spots on your skin by applying petroleum jelly around these areas and using rubber gloves.

✿ IS IT SAFE TO SWIM IN THE POOL AFTER DYEING LIKE THIS?

Yes, if you wash it properly after applying the color, then it is safe to swim in the pool with henna-treated hair.

✿
After applying indigo, did I get a headache?

Despite the fact that our indigo is grown in organic farming and is free of any other impurities, in some cases it can happen that the Indigofera Tinctoria plant causes an allergic reaction in the form of a headache. In this case, we recommend not using indigo dye. Contact our customer support regarding returns and refunds.
